“Without farms, there is no local food. Without farmers, there are no local farms.”

pexels-photo-533360.jpegRiver City Roots has partnered with land owners in Sturgeon County and will be greenhouse growing in April and seeding the ground in May.  We have a diverse plan in place to grow heirloom vegetables, microgreens, edible flowers, fruits and herbs using all natural growing techniques.  We will not use pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers to produce our food. We will feed and protect our crops by using companion planting, crop rotation, netting, mulching, cover crops and manual weed removal.  All seed is sourced from the best Canadian heirloom, natural and organic seed producers.

A CSA with River City Roots is a partnership between my family and yours.   You invest in the operation at the beginning of the season and reap the rewards of your investment with your weekly share.   Order yours today!

carrot-kale-walnuts-tomatoes.jpgAs a share holder you agree to share the risks and rewards which go hand in hand with farming.  We cannot control weather patterns, pest infestations, diseases and fungal attacks but we assure you that we will actively monitor our crops and do what we can to naturally control the growing environment.  Crops will flourish while others may struggle. You have my guarantee that your investment will be respected and rewarded with bountiful nutritious food.
